90 is virtually lossless, 70 is noticeably lighter. For photos 80 is usually enough.
Files are deleted automatically according to your plan's retention period.
A phone photo weighs several megabytes, while an email, an upload form or a website often asks for a couple of hundred kilobytes. Compression only changes how much detail is kept when saving: at quality 70–80 the difference is barely visible, and the file becomes several times lighter. If that is not enough, reduce the pixel size — the weight drops even further.

- Which quality should I pick?
- 70–80 is the usual compromise: the weight drops several times, and the difference shows only at heavy zoom. Below 60 smooth gradients start to band.
- Can I get the original quality back?
- No, lossy compression is irreversible. Keep the original file for yourself.
- How do I make it even lighter?
- Reduce the pixel size: in the “Size” block fit the picture into, say, 1920 px on the longest side.
